Step by step instructions:

Cut 2 feet off of the end of each of the 8 foot long 1"x6" boards and two 25.5" sections from a 1"x4" board then attach one 24" 1x6 to each of the 25.5" sections of 1"x4"

I attached the pieces together with pocket holes but you can place the screws through the 1x4 into the 1x6 if you like.

Next attach th 2 foot section of 1"x6" between ends of each pair of the 6 foot sections of the 1"x6" and attach a 1"x6"x25.5 to the bottom of the assembled end piece.
